About Me

Why I Started Kardia Lyons Consulting

For years I worked behind the scenes running operations for behavioral health practices. My job was managing the systems most clinicians never want to think about, billing, credentialing, insurance problems, staffing, and all the operational pieces that keep a practice running.

Over time I kept seeing the same pattern. Clinicians were paying a lot for billing services but still having to double check everything, chase people for answers, or deal with problems months later when claims were handled incorrectly.

It drove me crazy.

Why Work With Me?

Clinicians should focus on their clients, not fighting with insurance companies or wondering if their biller actually submitted claims.

After years of managing billing and credentialing teams inside group practices, I decided to bring everything under one umbrella and start working directly with clinicians. Instead of outsourcing blindly, I built a small team of billers and credentialing specialists whom I personally oversee so things are done correctly and problems are caught early.

Billing and credentialing are complicated systems, and issues do come up sometimes. Insurance rules change, claims get stuck, enrollments stall, and mistakes happen in any system. The difference is having someone in the middle who understands the process and can navigate those issues quickly instead of leaving clinicians to figure it out on their own.

In addition to billing and credentialing support, I also help clinicians build the operational side of their practices. That includes consulting on workflows, troubleshooting EHR and insurance issues, and training virtual assistants so practices can grow without burning out.

The goal is simple. Remove the chaos on the backend so clinicians can focus on the work they actually care about, helping their clients.

Most of the clinicians I work with are in the same situation. They don’t want to do billing themselves, but they also don’t want to feel like they have to babysit the process.

That’s also why my pricing is intentionally reasonable. I believe smaller practices deserve support that actually works without being locked into expensive minimums or confusing contracts
